Hello Shayla and family,
I hope you are all well.
I am glad to get the opportunity to write a little something to you, Shayla, and I hope you read it. I asked JESUS for help. I was and still am drowning in overwhelm, fatigue, self-doubt, brokenness from my childhood, unforgiveness, and the list goes on. I asked JESUS to send me HIS favourite YouTuber who could help me. When I pray, I pray big. Yes, I asked for HIS FAVOURITE! The one HE loved the most and who HE was most proud of. I simply proceeded to type ‘Christian Homemaker’ in the search bar, and you came up first. That was it. I knew I had found you. I didn’t realise that JESUS would also make sure that in you I have Homeschooling and Homesteading support (both of which I am trying to do). There we go, PRAISE GOD, HE provides! And you have been wonderful, Shayla. Your videos have helped me tremendously, as they speak directly into my life, like well aimed arrows hitting a target. You have comforted me so much, as I feel like I was an orphan brought up with no training. Yes, I had parents but they were incredibly neglectful, hurtful and distracted for a lot of my life. Though, I still love them. I never learned to cook, clean or do laundry. I was an immature, confused mess when I left home and not at all ready for life. You have made me begin to feel hopeful about the future (joy and excitement). I am beginning to believe that I can change, break the cycle and raise GODLY children completely different to how I was raised. I thank GOD that HE called me into HIS SALVATION. I thank you for what you are doing for your family and, for reaching out to teach women like me, as commanded in Titus 2.

I also want to encourage you. The drowning feeling in everything you mentioned. Please remember that healing isn’t a straight line. It’s a process, a journey. Anyone who tells you different doesn’t know what they are talking about! We all have things we are a mess in, whether we want to realize it or admit it or not. You are doing great because you are on the path to working on yourself and renewing your mind with God’s help. Romans 12:2, it’s a daily thing!! God bless you, Una.
After discovering and savoring your videos, I ordered the homestead planner. As a list maker and lover, I found your lists to be genius and very helpful! This summer our family enjoyed keeping the garden to do lists, goal lists, etc. found within the homestead planner. I definitely recommend for anyone juggling home, kitchen, garden, homestead. As for the videos you produce, Shayla, wow! Each video is packed with tips, wisdom, beauty, encouragement, and practical how-to as well. Sometimes I take notes while watching! Thank you for this encouraging, motivating, and inspiring space.
