I created Soy, Gluten, and Corn Free Taco Seasoning because last summer one of my children was diagnosed with multiple food allergies, including wheat, soy, and corn. Did you know that most seasonings have corn, or soy ingredients in them? I learned they did last year as I was looking at the ingredients of all of our foods.

Another thing about corn, did you know that since corn is not considered a major allergen, it’s not required for it to be listed on packages? It took us weeks just to identify all the names corn goes by and get all the seasonings with corn (aka maltodextrin, dextrose) out of the house!

Since my son’s diagnosis, I’ve been on a mission to re-create all our favorite seasonings from scratch. The first on the list is of course this Soy, Gluten, and Corn Free Taco Seasoning because we eat so much mexi food!

What I did not expect was to create a recipe that was better than any taco seasoning I’ve ever bought that was pre-made!

I prefer to get my ingredients at Azure Standard as I find they have the most affordable, high-quality herbs and spices!
