Why Charcuterie Boards Are A Mama’s Best Friend Meal Plan
A properly put together charcuterie board can be nutritious, delicious, easy and quite devious in that it can give children the illusion of having a choice about what they are eating when the truth is you have actually gone through and made all the healthy choices beforehand. I have found a thoughtfully curated charcuterie board can be an excellent, healthy, no pressure way to get children to try and love new things.
I put my thinking cap on recently and decided to try to come up with a unique charcuterie board idea to get my children to eat and try more vegetables. Most of my children don’t mind eating their vegetables, in fact I only have one child that really struggles in the vegetable area. I do have a toddler though who is just beginning to explore and seems to be enjoying more of a variety of vegetables. So I wanted to do this idea for them but as soon as the idea came to me I new that the whole family would love it!
Dreaming up idea’s for this charcuterie were a little bit like taking a trip back in time to the eighties and nineties for me. My mother was/is a “health nut” and so were quite a few of her friends when I was growing up. I remember how one time my mom and stepdad decided to go do something special for their anniversary and they left me and my baby brother with friends. The friends were such health nuts that they put sprouts in their eggs! Hey, it was actually not bad. As experts say, don’t knock it till you try it!
Anyways, some of the ideas for this charcuterie are ideas that I haven’t seen or tried in over 30 years! The reason isn’t because they are not good, they are delicious! I just hadn’t tried them in so long because I didn’t remember some of the idea’s until I was dreaming up this salad charcuterie board idea.
Most of the ingredients for this charcuterie board can be made and prepared in advance.

Baked Potato Charcuterie
