Today I’m sharing 14 Inspiring Instagram Homeschooler’s To Follow for my homeschooling readers and those looking into homeschooling. If you haven’t discovered Instagram or homeschooling on Instagram yet you might be wondering “Why Instagram for homeschoolers-what’s the big deal?”
FYI UPDATE-since writing this post I’ve found another MUST FOLLOW Instagram mama that every homeschooler is going to want to follow for her genius, easy and mom friendly teaching hacks. Why Instagram For Homeschool Mama’s?
Oh. My. Gosh. Homeschool Mama! If you are homeschooling and not using Instagram you are missing out on something special!!!!!!!!!
So let me tell you how this came down. A few months back I started a second Instagram account all about homeschooling and our homeschool. Shortly after that I found 14 Inspiring Homeschooler’s To Follow On Instagram that I just love!
The truth is there is a massive community of homeschoolers on Instagram. Let me share reasons why you should be too if you are not already.
- Inspo. I’ve learned so much from my homeschool mama tribe on Instagram! Our homeschool is definitely blessed and more fun for it.
- Encouragement, you don’t even have to put up a post about your struggle. Many of the mama’s I share with you below are brave enough to be open and authentic, and they totally “get it” so they share, not just the highlights. Often times I’ll read their posts and am relieved because it’s one of those “Me too” posts and it’s just what I needed to read that day.
- It can be a cure for burnout. If you are like most homeschooling parents you know the wear and tear of the job can leave you feeling a little empty sometimes. Other times it can leave you feeling spread thin, especially if you are homeschooling multiple children in various grades. It’s so important to be part of a community that gets it, and it’s nice to have access to that community at any moment of the day. There’s nothing like scrolling a few homeschool posts to give you a kick in the butt you need sometimes and get you back in the homeschooling mood and reminding you why you chose this!
- Speaking of burnout, anyone else have a hard time getting going on Monday mornings? If you are anything like this visual mama then 5 minutes on Instagram will be just the motivation you need!
- If you are a working parent or a WAHM, sometimes it’s hard to switch gears. Again, maybe it’s just because I’m a visual person, but scrolling my favorite homeschool mama’s on Instagram is often just the trick I needed to help me change from work or homemaking hat to homeschooling hat.
- Sometimes you need a reminder of why you chose this homeschool life. Finding your homeschool tribe on Instagram is sure jog your memory and keep it in shape, lol!

I love Instagram for exactly this reason! I’m all about being a part of a community and I find you can really get that by connecting with others on Insta.
I’m so glad you put this post up with your recommendations. I have been going back and forth about homeschooling and it would be amazing to be able to see how others around the country/globe do it. I’m visual too, so photos of set ups and ideas would be super beneficial. So glad you found your online tribe! I’ll be sure to follow!

I think I am going to homeschool ,my daughter for preschool. It’s so expensive to take them and for only a couple hours a few days a week. I take her to do plenty of free things that involve other kids so I think it will be ok.
This is awesome- I just followed your suggestions! We are “worldschoolers” (traveling homeschoolers) and about to go on the road full time. I’d love to be included in your next post! @momwithamap
I’m all about learning more from, and supporting, fellow homeschool moms. It’s so hard to have a lucrative career while giving your very best to your kiddos, but it’s so worth it.
